In the 19th century tourism grew, kings, queens, princes and princesses visits North Cape. In 1907 the King Chulalongkorn of Siam becomes the first royalty from Asia visiting the cape.

He is honoured with a museum in the North Cape Hall.

In 1956 the road from Honningsvaag to the North Cape was opened. This made it possible for ordinary people to visit North Cape by car or by bus. Until then, the only way to get to the North Cape was by ship.
